Transfer Your License To a Different PC

If You Have Access To The Old PC:

• Rescind your subscription on the old PC:
  • On the BDM screen, click the subscription summary (bottom right).
  • Enter your license code under Licence code to rescind, click the Rescind button, and confirm. You will get a Successfully rescinded … message.
  • Click Exit.
• Register the licence on the new PC:
  • Start BDM on the new PC. It will display the Registration form, with a status message to tell you that the device has no valid subscriptions.
  • Enter your licence code under Full Licence code, and click Register. You will get a Successfully registered … message.
  • You should now see the subscription summary at the bottom right.

If You Do Not Have Access To The Old PC:

• Register the licence on the new PC:
  • Start BDM on the new PC. It will display the Registration form, with a status message to tell you that the device has no valid subscriptions.
  • Enter your licence code under Full Licence code, and click Register. You will get a Failed to register licence code … You cannot exceed the device quota … message.
  • Click OK. The Forcible Rescind form will display with your licence code pre-populated. Click the Get subscriptions to licence button.
  • The old PC’s subscription to the licence will be displayed (and selected). Click the Forcibly Rescind button. You will get a Successfully rescinded … message.
  • Click OK. You will be returned to the Registration form. Click the Register button. You will get a Successfully registered … message.
  • You should now see the subscription summary at the bottom right.
